In responses to a LinkedIn post of my Singles article from March 12, a Pakistani minister asked me how to develop Family Ministry in Pakistan. Here is my response.
I’m so happy that folks in Pakistan are thinking through these issues. I would recommend that the church in Pakistan be the family of God as we see in the New Testament. Please, avoid the programatic way that the Western church has removed relationships from the core of the church. Meet with each other regularly and get to know one another’s needs. Share your resources. Challenge your parents to be available for their children and to model all of this. Welcome those who feel lost, the strangers and the widows and widowers in your communities.
What would you suggest to this leader in the Pakistan church?
